Snort+Xen
Alessandro had a few good virtualization posts while I was on vacation:
Xen is integrating Snort, further collapsing the distinction between network and host-based intrusion detection.
SWSoft is doing an OpenSolaris|OpenSuse|OpenYourProducthere release with OpenVirtuozzo. They probably followed Sun's OpenSolaris line of reasoning pretty closely, but of course Sun doesn't risk having their core software technology migrated to silicon and sold for free next year.
And also check out VMDrive's virtual-appliance-built-on-demand offering. Lazy sysadmins rejoice!
