Openacs BBB (Boston Bug Bash)

I attended the OpenACS boston bug bash a few weeks back. I got to see some of the usual suspects, including Malte Sussdorf who had been attending Linuxworld NYC. Malte is in the process of putting together a LiveCD for OpenACS & .LRN, and he had the bright idea of bundling in a working Jabber server. He said that the Jabber folks were quite happy that prospective users didn't have to jump through the challenging process of installing the server software, something they definitely have in common with the OpenACS crowd.

It's great to see this type of imaginative open source synergy, and I'm sure it'll be very popular with folks looking for that snappy out-of-the-box experience.

Half a complement?

camram.org's Eric S. Johansson complements me on my write-up of his spam conference talk, and on getting his name nearly 50% correct. D'oh!

you spelled my name wrong. it's Johansson not Kidd! thank you for a reasonably accurate summary of my talk. I will let you know when the next version of camram is out and usable by reasonably competent administrators. ---eric

I am definitely going to have a word with my editor.
